लोकप्रिय साहित्यिक मंच एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी (एएलएस) ने 11 अक्टूबर, 2019 को सिविल सेवा अधिकारी संस्थान, नई दिल्ली के सभागार में अपना दूसरा वार्षिकोत्सव बड़े धूमधाम और उत्साह के साथ मनाया। उद्घाटन सत्र श्री मनोज कृष्णन (संस्थापक, एएलएस) के स्वागत भाषण के साथ शुरू हुआ, इसके बाद पारंपरिक दीप प्रज्जवलित किया गया। मुख्य अतिथि, पद्मश्री अन्विता अब्बी (प्रसिद्ध भाषाविद्) और विशिष्ट अतिथि, प्रोफेसर उदयनाथ साहू (आदिकाबी सरला दास चेयर, ओडिया स्टडीज, जेएनयू) ने सभा को सम्बोधित किया।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी के वार्षिक साहित्यिक संगम में वर्डस्मिथ प्रतियोगिता पुरस्कार, फोटोग्राफी प्रतियोगिता पुरस्कार, गीतेश-जीवा मेमोरियल अवार्ड, प्रसन्ना जेना मेमोरियल अवार्ड और सागर मेमोरियल अवार्ड के विजेताओं को पुरस्कृत किया गया।
इस अवसर पर श्री अभिषेक गोस्वामी की पुस्तक ”कर्स ऑफ शिव एंड अदर टेल्स ”, सुश्री वंदना भसीन और सुश्री स्मिता विश्वनाथ की “रोड्स”, डॉ. मौली जोसेफ की “वेयर सिकाडास सींग इन मर्थ”, सुश्री किरण बाबल द्वारा संपादित, “अनटेमड थ्रिल्स एंड शिल्ड्स”, सुश्री बीना पिल्लई की “अंडर दी मैंगो ट्री “(पूर्व-रिलीज़), सुश्री अनीता चंद की “कुछ दिल ने कहा” और सुश्री निशा टंडन की “चंद एहसास” का विमोचन हुआ। इसके बाद, उत्तराखंड के मशहूर गायक, शेरी सिंगर ने अपने गायन से दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।
इस वार्षिकोत्सव में एएलएस टीम से जुड़े एंबेसडर अमरेन्द्र खटुआ, श्री सुदर्शन कचेरी, डॉ. अपर्णा बागवे, सुश्री लिप्पी परीदा, डॉ. बिशाखा सरमा, सुश्री शिवप्रिया, सुश्री रमनीत एस. मुख़र्जी, डॉ. रक्षंदा रूही मेहदी, सुश्री बीना पिल्लई, सुश्री अनिता चंद और सुश्री किरन बाबल को भी सम्मानित किया गया।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी के वार्षिक इस कार्यक्रम को सभी प्रतिभागियों और दर्शकों से सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया मिली।

The Asian Literary Society (ALS), a popular literary platform, celebrated the completion of the second year of its existence with great fanfare and enthusiasm on October 11, 2019, at the Auditorium of the Civil Services Officers’ Institute, New Delhi. The Inaugural session began with a welcome address by Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS), followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. The Chief Guest, Padmashri Anvita Abbi (Renowned linguist and scholar of minority languages) and the Guest of Honour, Professor Udaynath Sahoo (Adikabi Sarala Das Chair, Odia Studies, JNU) graced the occasion with their august presence.
The annual Confluence began with the eagerly awaited Award Presentation wherein ALS’s annual Wordsmith Contest Awards, Annual Photography Contest Awards, Gitesh-Biva Memorial Award, Prasanna Jena Memorial Award and Sagar Memorial Award were presented to the winners from all across the country and abroad. The next session was reserved for Book Releases wherein ‘Curse of Shiva and other tales’ by Mr. Abhishek Goswami, ‘Roads’ by Ms. Vandana Bhasin and Ms. Smitha Vishwanath, ‘Where the cicadas sing in mirth’ by Dr. Molly Joseph, ‘Untamed thrills and shrills’ edited by Ms. Kiren Babal, ‘Under the mango tree’ (pre-release) by Ms. Bina Pillai, ‘Kuch dil ne kaha’ by Ms. Anita Chand, and ‘Chand ehsaas’ by Ms. Nisha Tandon were released, and the authors were felicitated and wished ‘Good Luck’ for their new ventures. Following this, the man with the golden voice – Sherry Singer, held the audience spellbound by his electrifying musical performance.
The post lunch session was dedicated to Poetry Recitation by a large number of poets and poetesses and their felicitation of by eminent poets and writers from across the country. On this occasion, ALS Founder Mr. Manoj Krishnan also felicitated the core ALS team comprising of ALS Ambassadors Amarendra Khatua and Mr. Sudarshan Kcherry, and ALS Administrators/ Moderators Dr. Aparna Bagwe, Ms. Lippi Parida, Dr. Bishakha Sarma, Ms. Shivpriya Srivastava, Ms. Ramniet S. Mukherjee, Ms. Rakhshanda Roohi Mehdi, Ms. Bhina Pillai, Ms. Anita Chand, and Ms. Kiren Babal for their valuable contribution to the society.
The annual event of the ALS received a very warm and positive response from all the participants and invitees in the audience.
